Some of My Favorite Films
I thought that in doing a site like this, it would be a good idea to share some of my personal favorite films. Hopefully I’ll gain some new favorites while doing this blog. I am not claiming these to be the best of all time. Rather, these are just movies that have stuck with me for years. Eventually, I’ll update this page with reviews for each film and explain why it’s on the list. In alphabetical order:

8 ½

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

There Will Be Blood

Waking Life

I own and love all of these films, so it’s no wonder we so often agree. Well, I don’t own 8 1/2, but it’s available on instant watch, so I might as well. Waking Life is still probably my favorite film of all time, although I’m also one of the few who likes Mulholland Dr. more than rest of Lynch’s work, and that is sometimes my favorite. Like when I’m watching it.
In fact, I went back to my list, and my 3rd, 4th, and 5th favorite films of the last decade are all right here. Mulholland Dr. was 1, and City of God was 2.
I have a personal affinity for “Eraserhead” so far as Lynch goes. It struck such an odd chord with me. It certainly is a hard one to recommend, and I feel as if people often misrepresent it when speaking of what type of film it is.
